Oslo Holmenkollen Ski Festival

Norwegians like to ski. On the first Saturday of March each year, Norwegians celebrate their unique Oslo ski festival. This is the second grand festival held in Norway after the National Day, the world-famous international ski jumping platform. On this day, the international ski jumping competition was held in Holmenkollun Mountain in Oslo. This is a 65m skier platform. It is built on a hillside and looks like a huge slide. Under the hillside is a pond. The water in the pond has naturally frozen, covered with a thick layer of snow, and the snow jumper has finally landed here. The stands are built on the slopes on either side of the platform, with buildings and modern scorers nearby.

The game usually has to wait until the Norwegian King arrives. The gunshots of the game, the ski suits, the athletes wearing the windbreakers slipped off the platform, vacated, jumped in the air for dozens of meters, even a few hundred meters, and then landed on the snow. The wonderful performance won the audience’s cheers on the nearby hillside.
The Oslo Ski Festival and the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival in China, the Sapporo Snow Festival in Japan, and the Quebec Winter Carnival in Canada are also known as the World’s Four Ice and Snow Festivals.

Holmenkollen is a Norwegian ski resort, where all major skiing events in Norway and even the Winter Olympics are held. This ski resort has a history of more than 100 years, including the Ski Museum and the Ski Jump. The viewing platform at the top is the best location for you! You can also sit on the elevated platform to enjoy the beautiful curves drawn. If you want to challenge yourself, of course you have to change gear to slide off the top of the trail!

Although the winter in Oslos cold, it seems to be more energetic. The small town covered by snow and ice is full of locals or tourists who are dragging skis uphill or going to the park for skiing. The snow and ice activities in Oslo are rich enough to make Nordic long winter. It is dull and boring. Skating, alpine skiing, and skiing are all popular snow and ice sports. In addition to the experience and foundation of alpine skiing, skating and skiing are easy to learn and have low risk factors.
