HEALTHIER AND COMFY MATTRESS

Selecting a good quality bed to start with is highly neccessary, but so is the way you treat it is.  Looking after your bed will help extend its life and may these simple guidelines will help keeping your  mattress healthy and comfy.

ROTATE YOUR MATTRESS


Keep rotating the mattress once every three months. This will keep the mattress from sagging, to keep well distribution of padding and make the foam or fibers consistent throughout the mattress. If possible flip the mattress as well.

CHANGE AND WASH THE SHEETS REGULARLY


Strip the bed and wash all the beddings. Washing all the beddings in hot water will help get rid of any dust mites. Remove the sheets, pillow cases and matress covers , and let it spin in the washing machine.

PRTOTECT YOUR MATTRESS
After finding your dream mattress, be mindful also to have a mattress protector. This isessential to make your mattress healthier and to extend the life of your mattress. This is the first defense against wear and tear, allergens (like pet dander and pollen), spills, and even bed bugs.

VACUUM OR SUCK IT UP
Grab your vacuum cleaner and make sure that the nozzle of your vacuum cleaner is clean . Slowly let it suck the dusts and dust mites from the surface of the mattress and all of the crevices to get any hidden dirt or dust.

REMOVE STAINS

The best way to get the stain out is to clean it up as soon as it occurs.
For stains, the sleep association suggests the following method:
1. Fill up a spray bottle with a few drops of mild dish soap mixed with water.
2. In the stained area, spray the solution lightly
3. With a soft brush, scrub it gently.
4. Aerate the dampened mattress by setting it outside (if feasible) or directing a portable fan on the area.   
5. Use baking soda to nix smells. Sprinkle it with baking soda and wait 20 minutes. Then use a vacuum to suck up the baking soda, and enjoy a fresher night’s rest.

DO NOT MONKEY AROUND
Do not jump or walk on. Your sleep set is designed to be slept on. Jumping or walking on your mattress or box spring can damage the interior construction (coils and fibers) and possibly cause injury to yourself and others.
