Invest in good quality warm clothes and boots. It will make all the difference. Rather than suffered through frozen fingers, soaked socks, and having to take a hot shower for twenty minutes just to warm up after being outside. For footwear look for boots, which are warm, waterproof, and reasonably priced. During the winter months never leave the house without wearing one of these thin and soft heat tech shirts — they help keep you warm (but not too warm) without bulk. And a pair of mittens, the ones that keep your fingers from being frozen when outside for more than a few minutes.
